It is the serous pericardium which is deep to the fibrous pericardium and surrounds the heart and the adjacent parts of its great vessels
It is composed of two layers
parietal layer and visceral layer
The serous pericardium has two sinuses (The transverse sinus and yhe oblique sinus)
